AVG Resident
Shield
Another part of the AVG Anti-Virus System is
installed in your Windows system, during installation.
It is called AVG Resident Shield. It is run when
Windows runs and it is always active when your
computer is on.
This program monitors all your work - all operations
with files or floppies - on your hard drive or
over the Internet. Before you are allowed to work
with a possibly dangerous object, AVG Resident
Shield checks it. This check is so quick, that
you never notice it is at work.
Never ... until a virus is detected.
If you try to use an infected object, AVG Resident
Shield will stop all operations and inform you
about the danger.
AVG Resident Shield mission is not just to scan
your computer and locate viruses, but to protect
your computer BEFORE you are ever infected in
the first place.
